Established in the late 60's by renowned wood turner Leo Van Helden and his artist wife Julia, the Gallery has exhibited the finest works of New Zealand artisans over the past four decades, and continues to enhance its reputation as a high quality and affordable venue for fine Arts and Crafts.
Our opening hours are 10am to 5pm (7 days a week) Closed Christmas Day. Winter hours 10am to 4pm (May/June/July/August)

Drive around the harbour to the Eastern Bays of Wellington or catch the Dominion Post Ferry from Queens Wharf in the city to beautiful Days Bay (a pleasurable 25 minute cruise across Wellington Harbour). A five minute stroll from the Jetty will bring you to our Gallery, tucked alongside Chocolate Dayz Cafe, Southlight Studio, Days Bay Pizzeria, Sugar Cafe and Cobar Restaurant. Come and enjoy the Days Bay "experience".
