Ernesto Ovalle creates his beautiful jewellery in his Oro Negro studio based in Auckland. Originally from Columbia, Ernesto has lived in New Zealand for over 18 years and uses sterling silver, greenstone, pounamu, NZ black sand and ammonites in glass in his creations. His sterling silver pendants range from $60 - $105, and are stamped around the circumference with ‘Aotearoa’. Ernesto also creates rings with a map of New Zealand cut into a sterling silver band ($80) Absolutely unique to New Zealand!
